Day 5 – I woke up at 6:00a, hey, it’s the weekend and that’s okay! Haha! I was in bed by 10p last night, very unusual for a Friday night. My husband was exhausted from his day at work so he was in bed by 9p. Yeah I know, at the age of 44 with college children why aren’t living it up. We do, but we have are nights that we just want to stay in and RELAX.
This morning so far I have 2 loads of laundry going, baked 2 dozen cupcakes, had 2 cups of coffee (now for some green tea), watched the news (that’s rare for me), took out the trash (it’s garbage day) and posted some stuff for work.
It’s raining in Houston and I have a busy day, including going to a late dinner with friends tonight. I hope I can stay awake. But I do get to sport my new earrings and little wallet that I got yesterday.
All in all, I feel pretty good. I have noticed my stress level is clam and my mood is better. That’s a good thing! I have stopped a bit to reflect on life, give God thanks for all the things He has given me and the challenges I face everyday. This has been a hard week for me emotionally and well, I think it was a good time to start the #21EarlyDay Challenge. I have enjoyed writing this blog everyday. It keeps me accountable for many things. I hope you are enjoying it too.
A little note from the book It’s Never Too Late by Patrick Lindsay,
To Listen to Your Heart
Our world is loud, fast and chaotic.
We need time to pause.
Too look around us.
To hear our heart.
It knows things your mind can’t understand.
Take time out.
Freeze frame your daily life.
Be open to your heart.
Listen to it.
